Databases
The University and the Library subscribe to the main databases of interest for their academic fields. The databases are accessible within the University by connecting to the University’s network, or from home using the proxy service or VPN.
You can search for databases through Tor Vergata Library Search using the search bar or by accessing the list of available databases. Below are the most commonly used databases in the field of engineering.
Web of Science
A bibliographic database that includes citations and provides access to the full text of subscription-based resources. It aggregates a collection of databases that the user can choose to query individually or simultaneously. The WOS Core Collection, which is divided into several sections, is the most important database within WOS.

MathSciNet
The online version of the prestigious database produced by the American Mathematical Society (AMS). It is a comprehensive collection covering nearly all literature in the mathematical disciplines. It provides access to reviews, abstracts, and bibliographic information, with coverage spanning from 1940 to the present.

A database of dissertations and theses owned by the US publisher ProQuest. The accessible theses come from all over the world, with coverage spanning from 1743 to the present day.

Electronics journals
The University and the Library subscribe to a wide range of electronic journal packages and collections in their areas of interest. The journals and/or articles can be accessed within the University by connecting to the University network, or from home using the proxy service or VPN.

ACM Digital Library
A platform that provides access to the journals and proceedings of the Association for Computing Machinery, an international academic non-profit organization dedicated to scientists and educators in computer science.

Arketipo
An international monthly magazine focused on architecture and construction engineering, available in both Italian and English. Each issue explores a key theme within the construction process. The Library has subscribed to the digital edition since 2014.

Nature
The online version of Nature, a journal published since 1869 and one of the oldest and most important scientific publications. Among the most prestigious in the international scientific community, Nature remains one of the few journals to publish original articles across various scientific disciplines, maintaining a multidisciplinary profile.
Other scientific journals published by the Nature Publishing Group (e.g. Nature Medicine) are linked to Nature.

The Library has subscribed to the eBooks Collection from ICE Publishing. The subscription includes over 1,500 titles on civil engineering topics. At the end of the year, the 50 most consulted texts will be purchased for perpetual access.

Technical standards
The University subscribes to databases from national and international standardization bodies in the scientific and engineering fields.
ASTM Standards
The ASTM Compass subscription database provides access to the standards of the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM). Founded in 1898, ASTM is a U.S. standards organization and one of the largest technical contributors to ISO.
ASTM standards are technical specifications that define criteria for the design, manufacturing, and evaluation of products and services. They provide guidelines to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance across industries worldwide. Nearly all industries interact with ASTM standards in some way, with the most impacted sectors including:

- Manufacturing;
- Energy and environment;
- Materials industry;
- Product safety.

UNI Standards
UNI standards are issued by the Italian National Standardization Body, , a private, non-profit association that carries out regulatory activities in the industrial, commercial, and service sectors, excluding the electrical and electrotechnical sectors (which fall under the jurisdiction of CEI).
